We are enjoying a rest day in Baker CIty, OR. Lynne cooked us up some french toast and peaches for bfast and we're heading to the Oregon Trail Interpretive Center for some history lessons. Ayn is excited for some "market research"! We realized this morning that riding an average of 70 miles for 18 days straight may be a little extreme...even for TDL. Ayn helped clarify this point in dramatic fashion yesterday....as Barry mentioned to Ayn post ER if she had wanted a rest day that bad, she could have just said so :) Oh, never a dull moment on the Tour. Ayn is feeling much better today, but very sore, especially her neck! Enjoy the pics!

What's up team loaf? How you doing? It's warm and summerish at last. Sure had to go from one extreme to the other though. I was kind of hoping for a little bit of inbetween. Anyways, we just got into Oregon today. We are in Ontario, but might travel about 16 miles further to the little town of Vale, Oregon to make tomorrow 65-70ish miles instead of 80. We had a really wonderful time in Boise and ended up staying an extra day. Thank you to Barry for hooking us up with Sus (and stacy for playing phone tag with me). She is an awesome woman. We made her dinner, she fed us absynthe and let us sleep on her floor and snuggle with her puppies.
Ayn, I'm glad you are okay!! I hope you got a little, (but not too much) sweet road rash.
From here we are pretty much sticking to highway 26 for the remainder of the journey to Portland. We are on route to get there around the 24th. Hopefully we will meet again someday...
